About the House

Orwil Street Community House offers a range of low-cost activities for people of all ages.

 

Our experienced facilitators offer friendly, well-prepared classes and workshops. We also love to hear from new facilitators who want to spread their wings. New people and ideas are always welcome. We offer Information, Referrals, Support, Qualified Low-Cost Counselling, Friendship, Volunteer and Student Placements, Playgroup, and Self-Help Groups. Venue Hire for Meetings and Classes. Photocopying and Laminating at reasonable rates. FREE Wi-Fi and Computer Access.

 

This House welcomes people of all ages, cultures, genders, health status, affectional preferences, background or ability. Drop by soon!

From humble beginnings, Orwil Streeet Community House, situated in the heart of Frankston, has developed into an integral part of the Frankston community bringing people together for over 40 years. 

Our Facilities

 

Looking for a great venue for your meetings, training, or private workshops? We offer bright, comfortable rooms, with access to whiteboards, Smart TV, Smart Projector, CD Player and kitchen facilities. Our rates are reasonable and flexible. Drop by to inspect or call us for details. If you are interested, please book in early. The House welcomes new ideas for future activities.

Our Staff & Volunteers

Volunteers are the lifeblood of Orwil Street, the gift of their time, knowledge and energy to the House and community are immeasurable and the House gratefully acknowledges the contribution of Volunteers, past and present. Our hard-working staff bring it all together, with their commitment,  enthusiasm, and good vibes they create a safe and welcoming space.

We proudly network with the Frankston Cluster of Community Houses; Community House Network; Southern Metropolitan Regional Network; our state-wide organisation, NHV (Neighbourhood Houses Victoria) and National Link, linking neighbourhood houses and community learning centres across Australia. As well, we network with individual community houses and neighbourhood centres.
